Mission Statement

The Carolina Arts Network, Inc. is a publicly-supported organization created to foster economic development through arts education for southeastern North Carolina. Our activities include producing and promoting plays, dramatic musicals, concerts, visual arts and crafts exhibitions, and electronic media to encourage understanding and appreciation of our community’s culture and heritage and stimulate employment, educational opportunities, and recreational activities that improve our quality of life. We aim to give voice to southeastern North Carolina’s cultural symbols and natural environment through producing and promoting works of artistic value. We develop and showcase the rich artistic talents of southeastern North Carolina’s multicultural community to promote tolerance, training, and creative development among the public. We work with local, state, and national business, non-profit, educational, and governmental institutions to help both citizens of and visitors to southeastern North Carolina value our rich and diverse heritage.
