Our annual art auction and banquet was held this year on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at the James B. Chavis University Center on the campus of UNC-Pembroke. The evening began at 6:30 pm.
We had a very special event this year, with two artists! Gene Locklear (Lumbee) who offer an original painting for auction that features a scene from the drama as well as the work of our second artist, and Senora Lynch (Haliwa-Saponi). Ms. Lynch is an acclaimed potter who works in the traditional style of the Eastern Woodlands. Her original work was also be available for auction that evening, along with prints of Mr. Locklear’s painting.
